Primary Care is Not Exempt. Let’s Get to Work

When PanAm airlines died, it didn’t take the airline industry with it. K-Mart may be struggling but WalMart, Target and Nordstrom are thriving. The record label industry’s future is uncertain (same with publishing), but musicians and artist (and content creators) are more empowered than ever before thanks to the Internet.

Those that insist on defending the status quo will certainly die. Those that adapt to the changes of the marketplace will succeed.

Primary care is not exempt.

We can sit on the side lines, lick our wounds, and predict how “others” will ruin general pediatrics (i.e. insurance companies, nurse practitioners, PA’s and retail clinics) .Or we can get to work and predict our own future (a future where gen peds is valued).

What do you say?
